Kim Hyun Jung (김현정), popularly known as Seola, debuted as the lead vocalist of the girl group Cosmic Girls (WJSN), in 2016, under Starship and Yehua Entertainment. Prior to debuting, Seola trained for 10 years and even appeared on Boyfriend's music video of Janus.

In August 2016, Seola, with members Exy, Soobin, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Yeoreum, and Dayoung, collaborated with label mates Monsta X to create the sub unit Y-Teen. In May 2018, she along with members of both WJSN and Weki Meki Yoojeong, Luda and Doyeong, formed WJMK, and in June, released the single 'Strong'.

She deubted as an actress in 2017, with the short web-series 'Good Morning Double-Decker Bus' that was used to promote Gyeonggido Tourism. She continued her acting career with leading roles in the kdramas, 'In-Out Sider', 'Goedam', and 'Love in a Black Hole'.

On May 12, 2021, she debuted as a member of WJSN's second sub-unit, WJSN THE BLACK, with the single album "My Attitude".

SeolA is the oldest member in WJSN.

SeolA is considered as the Dad in WJSN.

Among WJSN, SeolA is closest to Eunseo.

Seola has aquaphobia. She was once forced to face her fears and it became controversial.

Seola sang "Stay With Me" with EXO's Chanyeol at KCON Australia.

Seola was part of Woo-Mo-Peu, a collaboration between WJSN, Momoland and Pristin.

Seola appeared on “Just Dance” Commercial along with TWICE‘s Nayeon and Jeongyeon.
