Formation of UAU

Following an announcement on March 10, 2025, Dreamcatcher Company confirmed that three members of Dreamcatcher would engage in unit activities. Formed by Dreamcatcher Company in 2025, the subunit emerged after four members elected to renew their contracts with the label. The name UAU was accidentally revealed by SuA through the group's fromm platform on April 3, before receiving official confirmation on April 17, 2025. The name derives from a syllable taken from each member's name in Hangul and translates to "You Are You," conveying a message of self-expression and comfort in one's identity.

The trio consists of JiU (Kim Min-ji, born May 17, 1994), SuA (Kim Bo-ra, born August 10, 1994), and Yoohyeon (Kim Yoo-hyeon, born January 7, 1997). The album was released on July 1, 2026, at 6 PM KST through various online music platforms. LEEGEUM ENT and Dreamcatcher Company jointly served as the labels, while distribution was handled by ADA KOREA and Warner Music Korea. UAU announced the album scheduler on June 11, 2026.

"Tuesday" was performed entirely in English. The title track was selected from three contenders: "GENE," "Tuesday," and "Stand By Me". Three songs, "Cause I Wanna Feel Your Face," "Echo," and "Comma 9999," originated as demo tracks for the debut album but were subsequently included after the members recorded them and determined they complemented the album's aesthetic.
