Kang Mi-na (강미나) was the main rapper, main dancer, vocalist, and maknae of the girl group Gugudan under Jellyfish Entertainment. In the group, she represents the number 9.
Mina was first known from appearing and competing in the hit survival show Produce 101 which qualified her to become a member of the project group IOI.
Mina debuted as a member of IOI on May 4, 2016 with their first mini album Chrysalis.
She debuted as a member of gugudan on June 28, 2016 with their first mini album Act.1 The Little Mermaid. As a result, Mina was absent from the promotions of I.O.I's single album "Whatta Man".
On January 29, 2017, I.O.I officially disbanded following the release of their third and finale digital single "Downpour".
On August 10, Mina debuted as a member of gugudan's first sub-unit, gugudan OGUOGU, with their first and only digital single "Ice Chu".
