Umji (Kim Ye Won) is a South Korean singer signed to Big Planet Made. She is a former member of the girl group GFRIEND and a member of the female group VIVIZ.
After six years of successful promotions, GFRIEND disbanded on May 22, 2021. Following this, all members left the agency, including Umji.
On October 6, 2021, it was announced that Umji, along with former GFriend members, Eunha and SinB, have signed a contract with BPM Entertainment to debut as a three-member group. VIVIZ debuted on February 9, 2022 with the mini album Beam of Prism.

2015: Debut with GFRIEND
She debuted as a member of GFRIEND on January 16, 2015 with the group's first mini album Season of Glass.
2021–present: Departure from Source Music, new agency and re-debut
On May 18, Source Music announced from that all members of GFRIEND, including Umji, have decided to not renew their contracts with the agency. They officially disbanded on May 22 after the end of their exclusive six-year contract.
On October 6, she announced on her personal Instagram that she will be joining BPM Entertainment with Eunha and SinB. BPM Entertainment later confirmed that the three members have signed an exclusive contract with the agency and are planning to re-debut as a three-member group. On October 8, it was revealed that the group name will be VIVIZ. The group debuted on February 9, 2022 with the mini album Beam of Prism.
