Mina Myoui (名井 南 Myōi Mina), also known as Mina (Hangul: 미나), was born on March 24, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas, and came to Kobe, Japan as a toddler. She rose to prominence after making her debut as a member of the phenomenal girl group TWICE.
Mina was discovered by a JYP Entertainment staff member while shopping with her mother in 2013. She got the JYP Japan Audition and went to South Korea to begin her career as an official idol trainee. After two years, she competed in the survival show SIXTEEN, finishing fourth and earning her spot in the group.
